In 6th grade history, we’ll be covering ancient civilizations, spanning an expansive timeline from the first homo- sapiens to the birth of Rome. It is my goal to make history come alive for your student. The goal in each middle school history class is to make history relevant to the students, to point out the similarities they might share with someone their age in different periods in history. They’ll learn that they have much in common with people in the past, and the students will begin to understand that this shared past links us together. The high point of our year just might be our study of ancient Egypt, culminating in a trip to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose.
Class Announcements  The On-Line Books Are "Here"Each 6th grade student now has their log-in information, and can view their on-line textbook. Shortly we'll begin blazing a trail through history, and the students are up for the challenge! The website is: www.learntci.com. Each student has their own individual log-in.
